Larger projects can use vertical construction; small projects are recommended to be buried horizontally (inclination angle is generally 15-30 degrees), which can reduce construction costs and the effect is not affected.

1.Drilling

@ 1 Drill a 160mm × 3.5m vertical ground hole in the selected construction site.

@ 2 If it is in a rock zone or a large ground network, if vertical deep well grounding is used, multiple ion electrodes can be connected vertically (Taike exothermic welding), such as 4 as a group to form an ion ground electrode with a depth of 12m. At this time, a hole of the corresponding depth needs to be drilled.

@ 3 If it is a small project or the conditions are not convenient for drilling, you can dig a trench with a width of 400mm, a narrow width of 3.5mm, a length of 3.5m, and a depth of not less than 800mm.

@ 4 If it is a multiple grounding system, you need to select multiple locations to drill holes. The lateral distance between the holes is twice the total length of the electrode, which is generally 6 meters. A trench for horizontal connection of electrodes needs to be dug between the holes, with a width of 400mm and a depth of not less than 600mm.

2.Implant the ground electrode and connect the lead

@@ 1 Peel off the tape that seals the moisture absorption hole on the upper end of the electrode and the ion release hole on the lower end of the electrode (don't forget!);

@@ 2 The electrode is implanted into the hole, and the lead-out wire is connected. It can be connected with rust-proof bolts. It is recommended to use Taike fire mud welding (exothermic welding), which is widely used internationally.

@@ 3 In the case of multiple electrode networks, the electrodes need to be connected to each other. The horizontal connecting wire can be 95mm2 copper stranded wire or galvanized round steel or galvanized flat steel. The welding method is the same as above.

3. Prepare electrode filler and fill it into the hole

@@@ 1 Mix the external filling material with water in a ratio of 1: 1 and stir well until it is a paste.

@@@ 2 Inject the matched filling material around the ground electrode to 50mm above the top of the ground electrode; be careful not to leave air in the hole and affect the close contact between the filler and the electrode. @@@ 3 If it is buried horizontally, the prepared external filling material can be applied around the ion electrode.

4.Check the connection and backfill the soil

@@@@ After the above work is completed, check the reliability of the connection. After confirming that it is correct, fill it with soil until it is flush with the ground, and compact it in layers during the filling process. Be careful not to carry stones, sticks, plastic, etc. in the backfill.

5.Measure the ground resistance

@@@@@ Generally, the initial measurement of the ground resistance can be performed 3 days after the electrode installation is completed. After that, the ground resistance can be retested one month and six months later to observe the change of the ground resistance. It can be found that the ground resistance shows a gentle downward trend.
